Song Of A King

Hope burns in fire
Soul longs for desire of gold
Life slowly turns into ashes

Home left behind
Beyond the shadow world
Mare unseen rests in cinders

Stone throne is empty
And vast halls
Song flows in deep memory
Through hollow caverns
With silent call
Back to bright days
Of prosperity and grace

The king ruled there
In lands beneath the mountain side
Beyond the golden cellars
A girl in silver and blue will abide

For him to return she will still wait
Deep in the mountain halls
She walks singing his deep sad song

Beyond the memory of him
His mighty kingdom lies in caverns stone
In one thought of my king
All realm will shine and fall
Before the end of lonesome days
He once will return
