Took For Real

Moon sent its silver rays upon the woods
Shining bright high in sky of midnight blue

Above the path wild orchid blooms
Sinking in glow of shadow moon

Deep in darkness I’m lost
Wandering alone dark haunting forest
I sing of a dream, pale mirror
Upon a hidden sealed door

I hear a voice
Deep and low
Dwelling in sad song
An unseen path for me to follow

Like in a dream I flow along the road
You sing for me in the dark
And lose myself in your soul’s song

I see your eyes reflecting in mine
A fading smile beyond pale sunrise
Don’t go, don’t you dare to flow
Into first rays of day
Love of taste so sweet drowns in dawn
Remaining but a glimpse of yesterday

A dream I took for real
Slowly withers upon sky bleeding rim
Mortifying light heart in belief

Too real to be a dream
A fantasy I caressed so dear
Beyond forgotten realm
I’ve seen your ancient world lost in-between
A memory and fading real
