Pride

Forget your pride
Swallow the words you hissed last night

In starlight we dance sharing drunk wine
We live at golden sunset
One night lasting through life
Dawn writes the end

Story flows upon the woods and hills
Entwined with old songs
Last sight of valleys and fields
Pale light embraced beyond silver waterfalls
Far beyond the edge of time
Where soul dwells lost in tides
Beyond the shadow of midnight world

Luring verses flew through the air
Snowflakes covered dark hair
Words of passion dwelling on lips fell with a kiss
As I’m frozen now in your arms

Forget the pain of old fire
Let your soul follow sweet wine of desire
Beyond the edge we fly higher

You slip into this fire tonight
There is no way back
You are now all mine
From now and until the very end

Forget the pain of old fire
Let your soul follow sweet wine of desire
I will take you with me into fantasy’s maze, reality’s mire

Forget your pride
Swallow the words you whispered last night
Take one step aside
And enjoy your ride
