Awakening Song

Silent bloom upon the dawn
Pale dew covered fresh grass
Beyond silver eyes of stars
The world awakens from cold awe
The nights of winter fell apart

And song flows through the woods and mountains cold
Awakening for spring for its scent we all long

She is but a light in dark cold night
A sigh of wind upon the sky
She is but a dream of one last tide
A memory of ever lost time

He dwells with her song
Dreaming of her through cold nights
He dares to seek her
Beneath the mirror of ever flown time

A veil of dreams
Deep song of past perils unseen
Claws of history leave but scars ever bleeding
Rotten and torn
Memories lone
Life flows through all darkness and light back to its core

She was but a light of all his life
His little star shining so bright
Her song flew for him through the dark
To light his heavy heart

Brighter than gems, precious beyond measure
His soul longed for her above all hidden treasure
More than all pure light he sank for her heart

Still dream of your light
Song of awe dwells upon the night

Where are you now, my star so bright?
