Mortal Life

Mourn in vain not, my love
Forsaken is that hope
Too far we were to reach that heaven for our own

My love will live in you for ages
Within your heart it will endure all the tears
Fear not, my dear, as there is no fear beyond the edge

Silence embraced forgotten halls
Hewn deep in stone all covered with gold
No song dwells there, no voice calls
In forlorn kingdom ruined and cold

Weep for me no more, dear child
Your heart is pure and kind
Shed your tears no more for me
As once again we will meet beyond the Sea

My heart will dwell for you in time
My song will flow with you
As words caressed by silence are true
The feel inside much sweeter than wine
My love will live in you
My star’s light will shine upon the blue
So you must find me beyond the tide

Before I go to far lands live with me this mortal life
As if it were but eternity upon the halls dwelling pure starlight
