Song To One King

Eyes deeper than endless sea
Soul of fire and stone
You are but the homeless king
Crownless without your throne

Through cold rains and heavy storms
Over the hills and the mountains high
We go back to those halls
Hewn in caverns deep that never saw the sky

But no gold I need
No crown, no throne
No halls hewn in stone
But cold wind to be
To play in your hair
The stars to shine upon your head

The sun to light your path
The moon to guide you through the night
To be your only one
Forever living in your heart

“Stay by my side when I fall”
You said to me
But a tear dwelt cold
When I cried kneeling in the dew
“I won’t stay aside, I will fall with you”

You were always my dear
Love, yet unseen
Don’t go where is no place for me
Don’t you dare to leave
Please, this is never the end

Nightmares faded with dawn
Eyes shining bright look at me in dreamy awe
You are here, my dearest love

The stars shine bright upon the valley we rest
Nightingale sings in the woods singing me to sleep
On the grass as we lie listening to silent song so deep
I fall into a dream with my head on your chest
