If Last Summer Told Me…

The story is ever old as time
Words are all told
No strings left in my soul to pull
But a dream to live forever more

One summer to love
Cold autumn to long
Endless winter to survive
Till calling spring in silver bloom

No way back left
No path to lead me away from this fate
I believe you are the one now

If last summer told me of you
I would never believe
Longing for another heart
If last spring sang me through autumn dew
I would spread my wings
To fly across midnight sky

Stars sing above of suffering and love
Lonesome in tears I bear the wait
Under cold rain of my own thoughts
This story is as old as time and fate

No way back now left
Only ahead till the very end
I will sing and bear the wait

Hope caresses my heart
Love embraces my soul
Dreams tear all apart
Every night is haunted by lovelorn
I weep silently longing for the one
Spreading the wings to fly away, to fly high…

If last summer told me of you
I would never believe
Longing for another heart
If last spring sang me through autumn dew
I would spread my wings
To fly across midnight sky
To the North into dear arms of you
