Will Not Read

I know you will not read
As you will not see
The tears in eyes
And silent hope beyond the memory
All fears of me

You will not read these lines
Though I will write
Tell me you still remember the eyes
And smile so kind

You won’t know my sadness
You won’t know my pain
I know though believe
You still remember me

Stars shine high, hidden with clouds
Emerald grass now covered with snow
Northern winds took midsummer warmth
Locking me deep in frozen bound

Rivers change their flow
Seas reach now the sky
Dreams rest in moonlit glow
Hope sparks with a tear in eye

You will not read
And will not know
The rhyme, the memory
The hopes that grow
Within they glow
And live so deep

You will not see
You will not know
Dear love of me
