Painting the dark velvet sky
I sang through the night
To bring you a spark of light
I walked through the time
Lighting the stars upon the skies
I sang to see starlight reflects in your eyes
I sang hoping to see your smile
Upon the edge of the world I sing
Once again to feel the touch of warmth
Upon the end of a withering dream
I hope to sing you a song
Before the sky falls
I dance and dream
To hear your song
Again through the scene
Ever drawn upon the rim
Of burning sky where hope
Falls and shatters
Where dream ever lives
For your song within my core
I sang through the pain and blood on lips
To feel your touch again on my broken wings
I sang through the lies tearing the soul apart
I sang hiding the tears to feel your heart
Once more to feel
Once more to see
Your smile
Your eyes
Your hand lies in mine
Forever real sings through the dream
I painted the skies with snow and light
Singing cold snowflakes through the air
I sang through midwinter night
To know you would see I’m always here
