Both Free, Though…

Like a flight through the night
Through the void
Into the pulsing dark bound
Over the world
To find the rose
The only one of her kind
Sweet and bright

She was awaiting long
For ages alone
When I wondered the void
Through the world yet unborn

Then beyond the sundown sky
Two fiery eyes watched me
Untamed and wild
He came closer into the scene

The fox, a lonely soul I longed for
Became a friend
One through the ages untold
Entwined within
We became then
Both free, yet now tamed
