How to write down those lines
Of lifetime rising upon the star
When you are near
Though only in a dream
How to tell the feeling that burns
How to entwine it with words
No way to sing it, nor pain it down
No verse dwells well enough for this madness inside
I’m burning within
Singing in silence
Dwelling with it I seek
Beauty eternal and young
Ever lost deep
Beyond long years
Of silence and solitude
Past without the light
Hopeless call through the dark
The real is cold or bright, don’t you see?
What do you believe in?
I’m falling down
Enjoying the flight
Singing back all the tears
To another chord
Through all forgotten verses
I sing and spread the wings wide
All in golden glow
It’s not the world that’s breaking you
But you
Open your eyes at last
You sang yourself to dust
The truth lies in your own soul
Within that that rusting heart
As you make yourself rot
No blame on the world you knew forever
Its waves never tried to break you
No shame and no abuse
Because none owes anyone
Take now this simple truth
