On The Northern Shore

I wait until the night falls down
Upon dark velvet of dreamless sound
Of endless midnight untouched

I see the raindrops on clear glass
Ever reminding of long forgotten scene
So far in time, on the northern shore
Where lights go down with the stars
And silent whisper of river falls with a dream
Somewhere on the northern shore

Great river weeps and tells the story
Of forlorn years of longing
As ages falls with only one glance so deep

The same path, the same street
All bridges over the river wide
Channels through the midnight scene
Reflections of long white nights
Dwell on waves dark and deep

In your eyes
I see the depth of restless river
In dear glance
I see the towers covered with gold
And read all the verses unsung, untold
Wishing this moment to last forever

Like there was no yesterday and is no tomorrow
Be the one now for ages long
Here, on the northern shore
