Feather-grass Field

Red dawn upon the valley
In far foreign land
Where winds blow away
The memories long gone
Drowned in a dream lost at dawn
Without an end

Walking in eyes
Of time and glow
In silver waves of feather-grass
We run across the field
Of never fading snow
Pale green leaves whisper
Above cold ground beneath unwithered
Velvet sky still dreaming

We run and fly
Across the field
Into the blue, through pale far
Surfing in waves of silver white
Of soft grass sea

In midnight’s eyes
Reflection stills
A forlorn memory unseen
Of love forgotten, though so deep
We speak of it no more
Hiding within
Beyond the bleeding core

The story dwelt in ages gone
So long ago
I saw that land never more
The dream it was in eyes of mine
A silent song of time
Through the heart ever aglow

Though still in eyes of time I see
The dawn and feather-grass field
