Stride Away

I walk through the past to face tomorrow
Through all tears and fears of yesterday
Of all the past years I stride into other day
So far away

I stride away
To see again pale dawn rising above
The ruins of sweet years of youth spoiled and torn
Yet still deep within
The hope blossoms in me

No matter how hard
The path is that leads me apart
From the pain and tears once shed

No matter how far
Are all the shining stars
They are so close while the song flows within
The score for all the lost years of nothing

I walk along into the dark night
I sing within the song of moon and stars
And silver glow coils around entwining with my soul
I let the melody dwell within as the only chord

Who will see it within?
Who will take it in?
Tell me  will you do this for me
Will you take me as I am now?
Imperfect, naïve and dreamful
Will you love me still?

Don’t promise anything yet
While I’m still far away
Until you see the whole world within
Until you feel me deep
Never call me a dream

No matter how hard
No matter how far
If the song lives dwelling in both hearts
The years will echo like one day
Fading pale into yesterday
Every far, far away
