October Leaves

October leaves forget midsummer awe
In another autumn wind blow
They dwell in frozen dew
Still singing of youth

They dwell upon the sea
They sing in the skies
Ever caressing the dream
That lives still in sweet lullabies

Under pale moonlight
Promises fade
Under last summer midnight
Warm truth bids farewell

Looking back at carefree youth
We see hidden rocks under the waves
Lost memories of truth
And ever gone days
We kiss them dear and let them go
With last warm breeze, with summer flow

The promise unfulfilled hurts nomore
Like first snow never brings cold
To the already frozen shore

We are free in this world
To keep and go
Choosing our paths in this life ever to follow

October leaves whisper to the wind
Promises unfulfilled
As heart lets them fade in the dark
Of autumn cold midnight
