Every chord dwells in the night
So pure, divine
Though forever lost in time
Where are all those songs I used to love?
All the lullabies I longed for are gone
The same three notes hit the strings
But not of my soul
They flow away with the wind
To remain forever gone
Forgotten name falls from searching lips
A fading memory
Nothing left within
Just one among thousands dreams
Where are all those verses I used to whisper through the night?
Where are all the lullabies I sang hundred of times
Over and over again
To heal the pain?
They are gone forever and will remain beyond
As that love caressed and torn
Resting forever in the ashes of forgotten world
Three notes are all the same
Yet the world goes on
There left no pain
As now I know
Nothing lasts forever, but time
As the day turns into the night
Circle by circle, turn by turn
The world goes ever on
Another chord hits the strings
Pulling my soul higher
To the deepest desire
Where the dreams are flying still
