Of Old Lost Days

Of all the pain
Forget, forget
Of a lost tale
Without an end
Do not cry

We all are but a shadow
We all are but a blur
Of the world ever dwelling below

A dance upon starlit glow
A memory faded beyond the back door
A song of the past, a dream long gone
We are, we are all but dew of dawn

Starlit rain sparkles still upon the veil
Of time and dust
We all forget it day by day
Silent memory of the past

We sing it through
We dream it true
From deepest corners of pure mind
From dreamless silence of dark night

We sing it well with sweet sadness
As silence will still caress
The perfect verse of lost light days

Of old lost days
Cry never more
As once again
We’ll reach the shore
Of light so pure, innocent
Just wait…
