Not Ask For More

Far away are the lands of snow
Far are the eyes I long for
Reflection of winter sun plays deep in
River flows within
As I look in your eyes
Deeper than northern lake
Shiny like the stars
Whose light sparkles so far away

None sees it in me
None feels it so deep
None will know, but you know
The dream of innocent snow
The silence beyond starlit glow
A thought, fleeting memory
Midnight fantasy

We’ve never met
Though soul of mine lingers to yours
Sigh falls but silent
Will you ever see my hopes?

Hopes like an echo of the night
Dwelling within like madness
Every day is but another fight
A try to keep my heart in silence

Share a smile once
Kind word, warm glance
It’s enough for a hoping heart

Far away lies the shore of ice and snow
Far are those eyes I long for
Trust my word, I won’t ask for more
