Midnight Dream

Sometimes I have a dream
Golden light embraces with comfort
No pain dwells within

A star falls, spread your hand and reach
Suddenly the world vanishes embraced with fire
All falls into the void, every and each

I cry but voiceless, the air is ashes
The wings lost the feel of wind
I cannot reach you, effortless
I cry, God why, God why everything is gone

I try to touch you, but your face slowly fades
And it’s all gone, empty and dark
I’m alone in this nothingness
Lost broken heart

I promised you to hold your hand forever
But it all sank into ashes and smoke
I’m falling with my eyes closed, I love you and farewell

Still crying God why, God why everything is gone
Why everything turns into pale fog…

Awakening with a sigh of hurt and relief
I feel it was but a dream
Golden light of new day fills the room slowly
Caressing my heart with new hope
