Walking Along The Empty Streets

I walk along empty streets
Looking in pale autumn mirrors
Wind whispers in faded golden leaves
Calling to the past ever gone dreams

I walk along the lively streets
Facing the blurry crowd
Hiding my face behind
The mask of cold dignity

Lie have many faces to hide the truth
Cold and proud
Broken light lies behind kind smile
Laughter could hide the deepest blue
Bloodred depth of pain lives sometimes
Within warm chocolate eyes

Not evil lie, not evil soul
There is no harm, no cold
Only a wounded heart
That was beating with hope

I walk along the empty streets
Seeking warmth and kindness
Hoping for understanding once
I walk now alone searching still
For someone who will see it within
Without words, just looking into the eyes

Autumn rain will wash away the pain
And warm rays of sun will touch the heart again
Like a kind smile on your face warms my soul
When I suddenly realize I’m not alone anymore
