Petals In Lotus Lake

Petals of spring are taken by the wind
So far away, far away
Dancing now on the crystal clear mirror of the lake

Those years of eternal spring
Live in me still
Far mountains and the lotus lake so dear
Are not just a memory

Melody of clear waters
Song of the wind
Tender petals
Sweet kiss of innocence
Beauty unhidden was never a dream

The world we lived in was real
Every day, every night
All the memories live within
Caressed by moonlight

Through the ages and war
We both went through
Torn and broken, yet reborn
We were, me and you

My king, my heart, my soul
You called me your only lotus
I will wait for you on this shore
Find me and keep your promise

Petals more tender than silk flow
Upon lotus lake mirror
The wind carries the song of hope on and on
To the place I still call home
