Golden Phoenix

River of life flows on and on
Leaving only golden sand behind
Like scale of fire dragon
Shimmering like stars in the night

Memories long gone cast with bitter rain
Reminding of what I couldn’t gain
Bringing me no pain any more

From far North to South
I wander long ages to gain nothing
From West to dear East flew my road
And the end of wandering

With the world on fire I fly upon the flames
In silver moonlight cascading on my wings
I’m but a golden phoenix
Who lost everything for nothing

Now I rise from ashes to bring back what is mine
Dance with me in this memory flow
We dance in this circle of time
Golden phoenix and fire dragon

Memories will fall with bitter rain
But wind changes every spring
And red petals will bloom again
We will meet soon, believe

As wandering phoenix and longing dragon
Always meet in the end of the road
I will be yours once more and never let you go
