Real You

What hides beneath golden core
What lies behind high walls
You build around you
I really want to know

The highest wall we build to protect the dearest
The tender and fragile
Our heart

Unveil your soul, bare all the scars
I’ll heal them all
I’ll kiss each of them and caress

Let me in to see your soul
In the reflection you will see mine
What hides beneath the wall
I’ve been building for all this time

Shadow lies deep, but deeper lies untold love
Unveil all your fears
We are equal – one heart, one soul
Same pain, same tears
Different are but the walls
Some are made of glass
Some of gold
But they equally hide a tender heart

Bare your soul as I bare mine
Tell me your heart
I really want to know
Real you without that precious shell
Without those high walls
I want to know
