Memories

Within every memory
We lose a part of our heart
Why does it hurt so deep
When we choose the wrong path through the dark?

The flowering starfall through the night
Breaks the darkness apart
With burning sparks of light

Pain turns into lost paths
Leading us back to the start
When we were still pure with an innocent heart

Reading those ever withered pages
Forever burnt, forever gone
We seek the same old faces
In the crowd because of love

Memories hurt deep, but the lies hurt deeper
Like a hidden door to the secret nightmare
We search for relief somewhere we don’t feel lost
Trying to save our soul from pain by any cost

Sweet blossom of spring
Honey dew of summer dawn
True words of love flow with the wind
Forever dear and never gone

Pain gives us experience and a chance to see
What hides beneath every dream we turn real
Without this way we wouldn’t know how to feel

Old songs tell the same stories
Like all those darkest memories
We used to hide under dusty sheets

Lost fairytales, repeating rhymes
Echoing chords and belling charms
I lose myself in this whirl of melodies wild
Trying to escape from this mad bound
Another dream of the faded page of childhood
Cascading still with fresh petals, sweet love of youth

Memories lost within are never gone
They live deep in soul
Sometimes they heal, sometimes they hurt more

Like a long coastline road
They lead us back home
To the one dear door
