Daydreaming Awake

Beyond the borderline
Still shakes a bloodred rope
That tied me for a long time
Far beyond empty hope
And bones still shake within
Like a withered dream

Daydreaming yet awake
Every breath that you take
Wait until fear drowns into the misery
Until it’s gone to the vanity

The path goes on through the broken glass
All torn town hall
Grey streets all in ruins and burnt grass
None to find, none to call
This place is long forsaken
Like a lost paper lantern

Empty shell, silent tune
Flowing away with the wind
Through the storm to burn
With every untold dream
I long for so long

Daydreaming yet awake
Every turn you take
Waiting silently until it sleeps
That dreamless fear making you weep

Lost story to tell
Silent magic spell
Never spoken lines dwell within
Until the silence breaks with a feeling
You’ve never told anyone
Mystery of your misery is gone
