No Empty Hopes

I know it’s been too much
The great desire, this wish to touch
I’ve played this game to feel so high
But in the end I’ve lost my mind

This night is dark
Like a dead bride’s gown
No light inside
But this eternal frown
I see it deep within dark velvet eyes
Of black still starless skies

The truth was there from the start
Right in my hoping heart
But I was blind to see it then
Too naive to send farewell

My search goes on
Through all the open doors
This hope for love
Like the river of light it still flows
And leaves a dream so sweet within
To share it with a special one yet still unseen

We haven’t met, but I know for sure
I’ll love you back, your heart so pure
No pain, no hesitation
Just be the one who shows action

I long for deeds, not words
Speak less, do more
So I could leave those distant hopes
Save me, be my home
I’ll be the key to your closed doors
