Alone

Night fell down embracing the home
The ground, bare trees behind my window
It covered the lake, the forest, the field
The lands where you were born

No dream left inside, but a hope
You will write, you will call
I’m still waiting in the darkness alone

Bare trees still not in bloom
Pale clouds like a grey veil cover golden face of the moon
Silver lightpaths across my dark room

Night fell down embracing me tight
Giving me hopes, writing dreamy lies
Whispers of wind promised you’d call
You would write…

When did you come?
Why haven’t you told?
Hope you will know once how it feels to be alone
To be abandoned by hope
Away from home your soul longs for
Away from all dreams someone shared with you
Away from everything so dear to you

Night whispers: “He will write, he will call.
He couldn’t leave you alone.”
Giving me a beam of abandoned lost hope
I’m not forgotten, I’m not alone…
