Ghosts Of Past

Leaves whisper in dawn
I see dew on the grass
Silver dream of the world
Unbroken dream above the stars

River flows beneath sundown
I see fire that burns deep
Red flames licking the heart
Forbidden hopes to feel

Through the forest
I walk
Across far bridges of time
I go
To see the one jewel of all
The heart of the mountain below

Across far rivers and dales
I long
Among the meadows and lakes
I flow
In a boat without the sails
Unleashing a dream to fly through the sunset

Ghosts of past
Are watching me
Dancing in moonlight
Beyond the real
I dream about that life
I saw once in a fantasy realm

One verse through the sky
To fly with a bird so high

Over the dales and meadows of time
To sing once again the eternal starlight lullaby

Ghosts of past
Are passing through me
Releasing me from this odious strife
Erasing the memory deep
Unleashing the dream from its bound
Hiding the heart form the broken song’s sound

Starlit pale eyes guide me through another sundown to see
The true meaning of that midnight dream
