Forlorn Lands

New horizons sparkle above
Coiling around
Still of the night makes the world feel
Silence of ever gone memory

Once there was a place
Where I used to hope
Now those valleys are burnt
Turned into ashes of time so cold

So I walk those deserted lands
I once called home
Lost far beyond the world’s end

Washed away by the waves
Taken by waters so high
A heart has no wishes

My heart endured more than one night of cold
Enough of empty hopes

Tides of time belonged to the light
I follow now into the dark
Guided by starlit melody hidden deep in a moonlit spark
The one sent across the last autumn night

A song without a name plays among the trees
As I walk still through the mist unseen
Of the lands forever asleep far beyond the memory

Those lands are dead
Are not of my concern
Forlorn and burnt
As they’re vanished
With one blink of time the life newborn so pure
Dwells in the kingdom where a heart will endure
