Ages After

One king to rule the world
One soul to bound them all
One memory to realise
The thoughts I’ve had once
Now dwell among the stars

After the third theme was sung
I knew he is the one
I was young and ambitious
Serving the one only precious

Ages passed by
And I see through pale dawn
Upon the memory blind
The silhouette falling from the sky
Heart soaked with hope
And soul howls torn
As you’re finally coming home

You knew I would follow you to the end
Bitter or sweet never mattered to me
As my heart always dwelt and melt
By your side I ever wished to be

One master for my soul
One dear heart to console
One and only that became my whole world
I love you more and more
Since the days are gone

Feel me again, release me from pain
As both of us had suffered bad
Be the one with me again
As the sun plays with rain
Be the one with me till the end

  1. I like this. The reworking in the opening stanza catches attention, and it is not often that we hear one of the Maiar of Aule in verse.
