Tales of the Great Horde

From the East to the West
They marched over different lands
To mark them as theirs

Great lands were taken
Golden cities turned to ashes
Burnt but not broken
As people hadn’t sold their freedom
Nor they spent their life as slaves

Great horde went on
Claiming lands on their roads
From the deserts on the East
To great sea on the West
They went on and on to claim the whole world

Tales of old are written on sand and stone
Some were forgotten, some never gone
As memories are kept in those lands never torn

Burnt they rose again in new glory
Broken and torn they built the new world
Though forever they kept this memory
Of the darkest days far beyond
For next generations to see
The cost of their life in freedom

Beyond the ages great empire rose
For years so long
Though tales rest now in stone
