Don’t Let Me Go

In this veil-like darkness
I lose myself at last
While they tell me to carry on
I feel like I’m forever gone

Tell me you won’t disappear
Tell me you are still here
I need you to be near

My loneliness guides me to the edge
Locking me in the same old cage
I used to live in before
Lost in my dreams to the core

Tell me I’m not insane
Tell me your name
So I know it’s not just a game

Hold me still, I’m tired of my darkness
Dry my tears and caress my scarred soul
Hold me tight, as I rest in your arms
Be my lover or a friend, but don’t let me go
